All About Vicki
Ah, you’re here! I wish you were here in person so we could sip some coffee, tea, or a glass of wine together, but that’s not possible at the moment. You’ll have to imagine me fixing the beverage of your choice. We’ll cyber-toast each other, and then you’re free to roam around my website home.
First let me ‘splain the picture. It’s me on the Astro Orbiter in Disneyland, and that’s significant because Disneyland is my joy and inspiration. Walt was all about entertainment, and while I’m certainly not in his league, I’m all about entertainment, too! My goal matches his – to whisk you away from your everyday cares to a fantasy world that will make you smile. If I’ve done that with my stories over the years, then I’m thrilled.
“To invite a person into your home is to take charge of their happiness for as long as they’re under your roof.”

The picture also works on another level. My romance career has been an amazing rocket ride, and I’m a lucky person to have found a job I love that gives me a roof over my head, food on the table, gas in the tank, and a season pass to Disneyland. I thank my wonderful readers for making my writer’s life possible!
Please do explore while you’re here. You’ll find that my lovable and gorgeous heroes on the Books page run the gamut from nerds, to cowboys, to werewolves. You’ll want to take a peek, just to check out the display of covers. More specifically, don’t miss the McGavin Brothers cowboy series, which provides some of the best eye-candy west of the Mississippi! Yowza.
Some of you will be drawn to one type of story (or cover, LOL), and others will enjoy them all. If you’d like to keep track of what’s coming out next and have a shot at some giveaways, please sign up for my newsletter! It’s short, and I’ll do my best to make you laugh. And I love giving prizes!
Whatever you do while you’re under my website roof, please have fun and be happy. That’s my dearest wish for you as my guest. And do come back again soon!
Your friendly tour guide,
A romance writing career has brought Vicki Lewis Thompson many wonderful things – New York Times bestseller status, an appearance on LIVE with Regis and Kelly, the Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award from Romance Writers of America, thousands of readers, many dear friends, and the cutest little yellow convertible in the world. Her career has also given her work she loves.
Although she’s written more than 150 books, she continues to be fascinated by the many ways that a man and woman fall in love. The age-old story remains a challenging puzzle to be solved anew with each book. That makes her a very lucky person, indeed.
